BIRD OF

PARADISE


The Bird of Paradise is twofold. A common ingredient in many gins is Grains of Paradise pepper. Our drink takes inspiration from the French drink ‘La Perroquet’ (the parrot)

  • 50ml Foghouse Original Gin
  • 2.5ml Pastis
  • 20ml Mint Syrup

  • Build into a mixing glass or strainer. Stir over ice then julep strain into a coupe and garnish with a floated mint leaf.

FOGHOUSE COOLER


Cooler cocktails are perfectly sweet, refreshing, light, and crisp. Perfect for sipping at a garden party.

  • 40ml Foghouse Original Gin
  • 20ml Pisco
  • 20ml Lemon Juice
  • 20ml Orange Juice
  • 20ml Orgeat
  • 10ml Oloroso Sherry

  • Shake and single strain first five ingredients over crushed ice in a balloon glass and garnish with a mint sprig then float sherry on top.

PRINCE CHARLIE


The Prince Charlie is a riff on a classic cocktail called a Tuxedo. Now we’re in Scotland, we don’t tend to wear Tux, we wear kilts. And the most common jacket for a kilt is a….

  • 50ml Foghouse Original Gin
  • 15ml Manzanilla Sherry
  • 5ml Peated Whisky
  • 2 dashes of Olive Bitters

  • Stir over ice then julep strain into a coupe and garnish with a lemon twist.

CULDEE SPRITZ


Inspired by the Culdee Monks who were the first settlers in our home town of Inverurie in the 9th Century. Chartreuse liqueur has been made by Carthusian monks since 1737. Only two monks know the recipe and it is believed that they never travel together.

  • 35ml Foghouse Original Gin
  • 15ml Green Chartreuse
  • 50ml Soda
  • 50ml Prosecco

  • Build over ice, in a wine glass and garnish with a lime wheel.

DORIC LASSI


Doric Lassi is an etymology pun. There’s a classic Indian drink, made with yoghurt, fruit juice and spices, called a lassi. We’ve taken this style and made it Scottish, whilst playing with the local dialect, meaning A girl from the North East.

  • 50ml Foghouse Orange Blossom Gin
  • 75ml Greek Yoghurt
  • 20ml Honey Syrup (3 parts honey to 2 parts water)
  • 25ml Orange Juice

  • Shake and double strain over cubed ice in a hiball and garnish with an orange twist.

FIBONACCI


If you were one of those kids who constantly questioned how math was relevant to your everyday life, then you’ll be surprised to hear that it could just be the thing that will help you construct the perfect cocktail. The Fibonacci sequence of 1,1,2,3 helps you to remember the measures for this great, booze-heavy cocktail for fans of the Negroni.

  • 30ml Foghouse Orange Blossom Gin
  • 20ml Sweet Vermouth
  • 10ml Amaro Montenegro

  • Stir and julep strain over cubed ice in a rocks glass and garnish with an orange spiral.

EURYDICE


The drink is a version of a more classic Corpse Reviver, taking inspiration from Greek mythology. Orpheus the poet bargained with Hades to bring his dead wife, Eurydice back from the underworld. Haydes agreed that Orpheus must walk in front of her and not look back until both had reached the upper world. He turned around, but because Eurydice had not yet crossed the threshold, she vanished back into the Underworld.

  • 30ml Foghouse Orange Blossom Gin
  • 15ml Suze
  • 10ml Triple Sec
  • Absinthe rinse

  • Stir and julep strain in an absinthe rinsed Nick & Nora and garnish with a lemon twist.

HONEYDEW


Our mixologist put together this tremendous sweet and colourful drink, infused with honey and with a fresh, zesty flavour. There’s no history or fun story behind the name of this drink - we just loved the name and it seemed to describe it perfectly.

  • 35ml Foghouse Orange Blossom Gin
  • 15ml Midori
  • 25ml Honey Syrup (3 parts honey to 2 parts water)
  • 20ml Lemon Juice
  • 20ml Egg White

  • Reverse dry shake and double strain into a coupe and garnish with a lemon twist.
